6-year-old Rapper Yung Hunnid Performs Hoverboard Rap on the Ellen Show
The Ellen DeGeneres show debuts Yung Hunnid’s hoverboard rap
Jay-Z got his start selling CDs out of his car at the age of 26. Slim Shady was freestyle rapping at 14 in his high school cafeteria. Yung Hunnid was 2 years old when he spun his first rhyme, and has been at it ever since.
If you haven’t heard of Yung Hunnid, it’s okay. The whole world is just getting to know him. Given the rap moniker from his dad, Yung Hunnid is from Memphis, Tennessee, and known to his family and friends back home as Otis. He recorded his first song last year at the age of 5 and has gone on to create his own collection of positive raps alongside the creative guidance of his dad. Otis, now 6-years-old, was invited to the set of the Ellen Show in Hollywood, California, where thousands of people were introduced to his unique sense of style on live TV.
Not only can he rap better than most adults, but he also knows his way around a hoverboard, which he proved when he went on stage and showed off his impressive set of swagger skills.
Can you simultaneously put together well thought out verses whole also navigating your way expertly in front of a live audience? Yeah – we can’t either. Yung Hunnid stunned Ellen speechless, and we’re sure many people watching at home were pretty floored too.
But at the end of the day, Yung Hunnid is still a playful kid at heart. He wants to be a doctor when he grows up so he can help people stay healthy and enjoys riding his hoverboard and bike, and playing with his friends. Knowing how much he loves his hoverboard, Ellen surprised Otis at the end of the show with the full line of SWAGTRON electric rideables! These included our e-bike, e-scooter, electric skateboards, as well as the complete fleet of our different hoverboards.

We can’t wait to see what he does (or rides) next!
