I bought this as an adult, so I could walk quickly up a hill repeatedly and ride this down (walking downhill is jarring and no fun). But this scooter definitely did not slow me down when going downhill, almost hurt myself bad. I’ve learned now I need a scooter with front and rear caliper brakes, which is what I just ordered. I am returning this one.
